Pessoas com duas cópias de um gene de risco têm Alzheimer genético, dizem investigadores
O estudo divulgado na revista Nature Medicine revela que pessoas com duas cópias do gene APOE4 têm um risco quase garantido de desenvolver Alzheimer e de manifestar sintomas mais cedo.
Esta descoberta pode reclassificar esses portadores como tendo uma variação genética específica da doença, influenciando a pesquisa, o diagnóstico e os tratamentos.
