Cientistas da Universidade de Coimbra desenvolvem metodologia mais rápida para o diagnostico genético de doença rara que pode levar à cegueira

    A Neuropatia Ótica Hereditária de Leber (LHON), é uma patologia rara de maior incidência no sexo masculino, que pode levar a cegueira. Investigadores da Universidade de Coimbra, desenvolveram método “GenEye24” que permite identificar as três variantes patogénicas mais frequentes na LHON.

The creation of this blog came from a challenge posed to Masters students of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã (Portugal), by Professor Doctor José Eduardo Cavaco within the course "Project in Biomedical Sciences''.
